(a) In accordance with WSSC Chapter 14.25, plumbing and fuel gas provisions, customers may hire a WSSC-licensed plumber to install a separate WSSC submetered connection to measure water that does not return to the WSSC sewer system.

(b) Where none of the submetered water returns to the WSSC sewer system, the water usage that registers on the submeter is exempt from sewer charges.

(c) In accordance with § 25-503(E) of the Maryland Public Utilities Code, Annotated, and WSSC Chapter 14.25, plumbing and fuel gas provisions at Section 111.5.9, where a portion of the submetered water returns to the WSSC sewer system, commercial, industrial, or multi-residential customers may be billed in accordance with a formula, as determined by WSSC, that credits the account for the portion of water that does not return to the sewer system.
