9.30.130 Referral of suspected criminal conduct.

If, during an investigation under WSSC 9.30.090 or 9.30.100, the Inspector General finds that reasonable grounds exist to believe that a crime has been committed, the Inspector General or designee shall:
(a) Promptly refer the matter to an appropriate prosecutor;
(b) Make all pertinent evidence available to the prosecutor; and
(c) Send to the employee believed to have committed the crime a notice that:
(1) States the alleged criminal violation;
(2) Notifies the employee that the matter has been referred to a prosecutor;
(3) Advises the employee of the employee’s right to obtain counsel; and
(4) Advises the employee of the employee’s right to refuse to respond to the allegation if a response might be incriminating. (Document dated July 1, 2020)
